Rick DiStefano Racing is home to the wildest car in Pro Modified. The 2005 season will be exciting as one of the most respected drivers on the Western Canadian drag race scene will be driving his Pro Mod 1953 Corvette at all IHRA events as he plans to be a big player in the 2005 IHRA points chase.
DiStefano started the 2004 season with a new Tim McAmis built car, and although he missed two IHRA races he still finished 4th in IHRA Pro Modified points.

Rick DiStefano Racing Not Attending Rockingham
Rick DiStefano Racing has decided to not attend the 2nd race on the 2005 IHRA schedule. RDR is missing Rockingham to prepare for the 3rd race in of the season May 26-28 at Virginia Motorsports Park, Richmond, Virginia.

A Windy Weekend In Texas
Although the air was cold in San Antonio Texas, the weather decided to play a factor as there were winds up to 40 mph blowing across the track. The winds even had a part in a Pro Stock crash in round 1 of qualifying which then made the officials cancel the first round of qualifying for all Pro classes. This was also the first race with Rick DiStefano Racing and new crew chief Roger Bateman had together. Crew Chief from last year, Andy McIntosh is on the injured list due to a heart attack in the off season. Rick DiStefano Racing qualified number 12 with a 6.60 @ 204 mph. In the first round of eliminations it was Rick DiStefano vs. Dennis Radford, Rick DiStefano shook the tires off the line as Radford ran a 6.44 pass for the win. Beginning of a new and exciting IHRA season!
Rick DiStefano and his Shaganappi Chev Olds backed 53 Corvette are excited to start there 2005 quest for the IHRA Pro Modified Championship.
